Here will be a list of all jobs that Staff can take up as Organisers and more. All the details and expectations involved with each task will be included.

@Tournament Organiser

This job involves organising the official Dueling Nexus tournaments. These are typically held once a month, follow a certain theme, and are non-live.

This position is recommended to those of you who can dedicate chunks of time throughout the month to ensure everything is running smoothly. It is also a major group effort, and requires contribution from all Tournament Organisers to ensure everything works out smoothly.

**Tournament Organisers are expected to:**

- Contribute ideas for Tournament Subjects in #tournament-suggestions.

- Ensure that tournaments are held regularly and consistently.

- Moderate the associated Challonge page with the current tournament, including making sure the scores in #tournament-results match their results in the tournament's Challonge page, as well dropping inactive tournament participants.

- Ensure that Tournament Participants are made aware of ongoing and future tournaments, that #tournament-chat is well-behaved, and that issues between participants are mediated.

- That tournaments are resolved to completion and that the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place aware roles of @Yugi, @Kaiba, and @Joey are awarded to the right people, that these people gain the contributor time they deserve as listed in #prize-info, and that past winners do not hold on to these titles.

- Ensure that #tournament-leaderboards are up to date and that the @King Of Games role is awarded to the right person.

- Updating #tournament-database with past tournaments as a form of record keeping.

If you feel like this is a good fit for you, you may apply by asking any @Tournament Organiser if you may be one, at which point, they will host a vote on letting you in or not. All votes require a majority vote to pass.

@Live Tournament Organiser

This job involves hosting sporadic live Tournaments. Unlike traditional Tournaments, these are to be held and completed typically in the same day that they are announced, and also tend to not follow a theme as participants are expected to show up at a moment's notice.

This position is recommended to those of you who may end up having big chunks of free time infrequently throughout the month. The job is also expected to be done and completed alone unless an extraneous situation comes up, and teamwork is seldom required.

**Live Tournament Organisers are expected to:**

- Ensure that Live Tournaments are held frequently, at least once a week.

- Moderate the associated Challonge page with their tournament, typically by themselves, unless they request help from another Live Tournament Organiser to do so on their behalf.

- Ensure that Live Tournament Participants are made aware of currently ongoing Live Tournaments, that #rlt-chat is well-behaved, and that issues between participants are mediated.

- That Live Tournaments are resolved to completion, that the first place winner is awarded the @Live Tournament Champion role, that they are awarded the contributor time they deserve as listed in #prize-info, and that past winners do not hold onto this title.

- Updating #rlt-database with past Live Tournaments as a form of record keeping.

If you feel like you can handle running Live Tournaments, you may apply by asking any @Live Tournament Organiser, at which point they will host a vote on letting you in or not. All votes require a majority vote to pass.

@Ladder Organiser

This job involves managing the Nexus Ladder, a competitive atmosphere where the best duelists attempt to climb up the ranks one person at a time.

This position requires constant attention throughout the day as participants will be dueling throughout the day. As such, there should always be at least 1 Ladder Organiser around at any given time to ensure the ladder is updated and its rules enforced. That being said, the job does not involve much teamwork aside from when rules come up.

**Ladder Organisers are expected to:**

- Ensure that #ladder-challenge-rankings is updated as soon as possible to reduce the chance of participants being confused with what to do. As a side note on this, if you need to re-post the rankings, edit them into a comment, otherwise you will be needlessly pinging 20+ people every time the person posting the rankings changes.

- Enforce the Ladder rules as stated in #ladder-challenge-rules, and ensuring the conduct in #ladder-challenge-chat is well-behaved.

- Specific focus is to be placed on the match timers, as participants have *48 hours to complete their matches, or they will receive a match loss*. Ladder Organisers are expected to keep track of these timers for all out-going challenges.

- Ensure that the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd ranked members of the ladder have the appropriate @Ladder Champion, @Ladder - 2nd Place. and @Ladder - 3rd Place roles respectively, and that those who earned it be given the @Veteran Ladder Champion role. Furthermore, the appropriate contributor time as discussed in #prize-info is awarded to the correct people.

If you feel like you can handle the responsibilities of being a Ladder Organiser, you may apply by asking any @Ladder Organiser, at which point they will host a vote on letting you in or not. All votes require a majority vote to pass.

- Implement ideas from #cyoc-tournament-suggestions for bi-monthly CYOC tournaments.

- Ensure that the winner of the current CYOC Tournament is awarded the @CYOC Crown role and the contributor time they deserve as listed in #prize-info, and that past winners do not hold onto these titles.

This position requires a slight amount of dedicated time each day due to its nature of being a weekly occurrence. Weekly Challenge Organisers are also expected to work together just as frequently.

If you feel like you can handle the job, you may apply by asking any @Weekly Challenge Organiser, at which point they will take a vote on letting you in or not. All votes require a majority vote to pass.

@Fan Content Organiser

This job involves monitoring the Fan Content section, and hosting Creator of the Month competitions.

This position should ideally only require 1 full free day out of the entire month to read and grade submissions, making it a mostly relaxed job. Teamwork is not necessarily required as all Organisers grade each submissions separately, and the head organiser averages the scores.

**Fanfiction Organisers are expected to:**

- Ensure that #writing-submissions, #art-submissions, #video-submissions, #fan-content-discussion, and #final-official-submissions are all orderly, appropriate, and relevant.

- Vote on prompts suggested in #fan-content-suggestions.

- Grade each submission without bias.
